Silicone Optics

Use our silicone optics for extreme environments in which thermoplastic polymers would distort or melt. Silicone will eventually char or burn, but its resistance to temperature, UV, humidity, as well as its biocompatibility make it a useful material for such applications as lighting in the UV, VIS and NIR, and biomedical applications. Silicones are somewhat UV transmitting, with nearly 100% transmittance ranging from ~350 nm to ~1600 nm.
